Watch: highlights from the live room
The best of this season's studio sessions, cut down to the moments worth watching twice.
A session is an hour. Nobody watches an hour of anything on a phone on the MRT, so here is the shorter version: the moments from this season in the live room worth going back to.
There is a song that fell apart in the second verse and was better for being started again. There is an arrangement rebuilt on the spot around the piano because the guitar amp refused to cooperate. There is the quiet one that everybody in the control room stopped talking for, which is the only review that counts.
The camera work is deliberately plain. Four fixed positions, no cutting on the beat, no colour grading pretending the room is somewhere else. It is a studio in Taipei with the lights up and a band playing, and dressing that up would only make it less interesting.
Full sessions are on the videos page if a highlight sends you looking for the rest. Headphones recommended; the mix is built for them.
