ICRT summer concert

An evening of live music in the riverside park, with sets from bands the station has played through the year.

Gates open before the first set, and the site is worth arriving early for. The park is flat, open and largely unshaded, so the hour before sunset is the pleasant part and the hour after it is the good part. There is food on site, and rather more of it than at most outdoor events in the city.

Bring something to sit on. The ground is grass, the grass is damp by late evening, and the people who thought about this in advance are visibly happier than the people who did not.

Getting there is easiest by MRT and a walk along the embankment. Getting home is easiest by leaving slightly before you want to. The concert runs in most weather and stops only for lightning, so a light rain jacket is a better plan than an umbrella in a crowd.
