Listener quiz night
Music, news and general knowledge, hosted by the evening team. Teams of up to six.
Six rounds, teams of up to six, and a scoring system nobody has ever fully understood. Quiz night is the least serious thing the station does and the one people are most competitive about.
The rounds are the usual mix: news from the year, music from several decades, a picture round, and one round that is deliberately unfair to everybody equally. The music round is played rather than described, which means it is loud, and so is the argument at your table.
You do not need a full team. Turn up alone or in a pair and you will be put with others, which is how most of the regular teams originally formed.
Doors are before the start and it is worth using them: the tables at the back fill first, and those are the ones with room to think. Bring a pen. Somebody always forgets, and it is always the same person.
