Trains are running the full length of the line again after this morning's suspension between two central stations.

Services on the Blue Line are running along the full length of the route again, after trains were held between two central stations for part of the morning.

The suspension began in the tail of the peak and cleared before lunchtime. Shuttle buses that had been running along the affected section have been stood down, and stations that were closed to entry are open as normal.

Expect the timetable to take a while to settle. After a suspension of any length trains bunch: several arrive together and then nothing comes for a while, and it usually takes a couple of hours before the intervals look normal again. Journeys across the big interchanges will be slower than usual through the afternoon.

Anyone who was held up should keep hold of their travel record, as the operator publishes its own arrangements for delays of this kind. Further updates go out on air and on the live desk as we get them.
